1. Sarawak wasted a lot of opportunities in front of their opponent’s goal. Of the 12 attempts at goal on one was on target but saved by the Pahang goalkeeper. The forwards and midfielders were indecisive when having the ball at their feet in front of goal. The Pahang defenders had a field day, twarting all the attempts by the Sarawak forwards.
2. On the positive side, defending was commendable, especially both centerbacks and DM. Rivaldo and Haziq was composed at the back supported with strong defensive work by Rudy in midfield. Rivaldo and Haziq even made forays up front probably frustrated with the forwards and midfielders failure to penetrate their opponent defence. Rivaldo and Rudy was impressive in their overall display.
3. Indiscipline and lack of temperament by some players like Adif and Awang must be check by the coaching staff. The red card to Adif could have been prevented if he had maintain his cool. However, its good to note that the other players was very discipline and level headed and prevented the match to escalate to a brawl.
