Match Preview
Perlis vs Sarawak
Sarawak next match will be an FA Cup, 3rd round tie away to Perlis this afternoon at Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium in Kangar.

The home team is currently having a poor run in the MPL, losing 4 matches in a row and sits at the bottom of the table having lost 6 and drawing twice. Their last win was in the FA Cup, 2nd round match against PDRM. They have only managed to score 6 goals and conceded 21 in the MPL. Coach Razip Ismail recently resigned and replaced by Syamsol Saad. This season the team have signed ex Pahang defender Damien Stewart along with 2 Koreans, Oh Kyu Bin and Park Yong Jin. The other import is top scorer with 3 goals, Brandon Adams, currently on loan from QPR. Amongst the notable local players in the team are goalkeeper Nasril Nourdin, defenders V Thirumurugan, midfielder Ahmad Fauzi Saari and forward Shahrizal Saad.

The last time the two teams met was back in 2013 in the MPL, where Sarawak had a 100% record against Perlis, wining both matches 2-0 and 2-1. The other meeting was way back in 2008 in the MSL, Perlis wining at home 4-1 but lost in Kuching 1-2.

Sarawak, meanwhile is hoping that their team regain their away form earlier in the season having won in Penang and PKNS plus a draw with TTeam. The team seems to play better when playing in the afternoon. The team should also abandon their current long ball tactics which overides the midfield and opted for a more built up play which could win them the tie and progress to the quarter finals. Goodluck boys.
