The game become more intense as Felcra coach, Tarciso Barbullo, made 2 attacking substitutions by bringing in Nazrul Kamarulzaman and  Rasyid Aya.  Their attacks were focused from the flanks as both players continued to pump in crosses to Anselmo in the middle.

Players ratings:

21-Iqbal Suhaimi (7) – Despite letting in the late 3 goals, he had an outstanding game. He made 10 important saves which prevented Felcra from scoring.

12 – Ramesh(7) – Had a good game at left-back. Assist the attacks with his overlapping runs. Strong in tackles and 50/50 balls despite his age.

3- Sabree Abu (5) – was okay in the first half but was poor in the 2nd especially in the later stages of the match.

14- Kim Chi Gon(7) – Another good display by the Korean defender. His absent was a factor for the porous defence in the 2nd half.  Needs to improve on his fitness to complete a full game.

17- Hairol Mokhtar (6.5)- Another good game by Hairol.  Hampered by injury late in the game.

5- Milos Raickovic (6) – Tried his best to control the midfield. A better display by him.

10- Nebo Marinkovic (4.5) – had a poor game by his standards. However, managed to made 2 attempts at goal. Needs to improve his game.

6- Muzaimir (6) –had a strong debut for his first full game. Control the defensive 3rd well, especially in the 1st half but tired later in the game.

19- Bobby Gonzales (7) – Another good display by Bobby. Scored his 2nd goal of the season.

11- Abdul Rahim (5.5) –had a rather quiet game, some good moves in the 1st half. Was injured in the 2nd half and replaced by Hafiz.

9- Matteo Roskam (6.5) – A goal and an assist. Was busy as usual, chasing and pressing in his normal role as centre forward.

Subs:

7-Hafiz- (5.5) – Came in in the 2nd for the injured Rahim. Struggled to contain the Felcra attacking 3rd. His built and height is a disadvantage against the slightly bigger opponents.

16 – Mazwandi (5) – was in all sorts after coming in for the injured Kim at central defence. Had a torrid time against the lanky Anselmo.  Was clearly beaten by the centre-forward in aerial duels.

Match Analysis:

Positives:

The players played well in the 1st 45 minutes. They maintained their composure throughout the 1st half and made their moves slowly from defence.  The defence was solid and the defensive 3rd was well organised by Muzaimir who performed well as defensive midfielder.

Negatives:

Lapse of concentration and fitness issues, plus injuries to both Hairol and Ramesh late in the game.  The fullbacks were not closing down the opponent flankers from delivering crosses to the middle.  Tiredness was also a factor as Muzaimir struggled at the later end of the game. Perhaps, coach PB should strengthen the defence but maybe due to the lack of capable players on the bench.  The midfielders were also not helping by pressing their opponents. The coaches should focus on these weaknesses and identify the right action plan in the coming matches with similar situations.
