Players Ratings: Sarawak vs Penang

30- Andy Nicholas- (6)  – Commendable performance for the youngster, considering it’s only his 2nd senior match. A bit jittery in the first half but was full of confidence in the 2nd. Was kept busy by the Penang forwards but managed to keep a clean sheet. Needs to improve his goalkicks and distribution.

32- Stevenson Unggah-(6)- another youngster who made his debut season. Was pressured by Penang winger, Dhiyaulrahman for most of the 1st half but gradually defended well in the 2nd. Needs to brush on his positioning as he seems outpaced throughout the match.

33- Gibson Billy -(7) – the 19 year old played well at centreback for his 2nd match partnership with Pedro. A robbust but cool player at the back. Despite his young age, managed to contained the experience Makache and Julian Bottaro. His other strong point is his long throws which assist the 1st goal by Bobby. A player to watch this season.

5- Pedro Henrique-(7)- the Brazilian played a solid game at the back, despite being over aggressive in his tackles. Yellow carded for his robust display. Was a constant threat during corners & freekick set pieces.

8- Ben Martin-(7)- one of the seniors in the team. Held his ground well at leftback with his vast experience. His defence splitting pass to Bobby was superb which let to the 2nd goal. Good overall game by the veteran.

20-Adam Shreen- (6)- was outplayed in the 1st half. Seen to often lose his temper in the hard fought midfield battle with Thurrire and Kang Seung Jo. Improved in the 2nd with his more compose display. Another player yellow carded.

27-Awg Kamaruddin-(5)- not at his best today. Was struggling in the 1st half. Managed to play better in the 2nd but was substituted due to injury in the 84th m by Sabahan Awg Hairul.

2- Rian Firmansyah- (5)- the young Indonesian played his 1st competitive match for the state and looks out of depth. His position on the left wing was worse off by robust play by Penang Afif Azman. Struggled to get pass his opponent and was gradually replaced by Asrin Kalam in the 66th m.

7- Nur Shaimee Iszuan-( 7) – a good display by the right winger. Made numerous Speedy runs on the right flank but his crosses was mostly fruitless.

10-Muamer Salibasic- (5) – the 35 year old struggled to adapt the fast pace of the game. Made some nice moves with strike partner Bobby but looks jaded. Was replaced by fellow import striker , Hudson in the 53rd m.

9- Bobby Gonzales – (8)MOTM and scorer of 2 clinical goals. Nothing much to say about captain marvel. Contributed all round display, both in attack and defense.

Substitutions:
18- Hudson Dias – (7) – made an impressive debut for the home team. Came in for Mume and immediately shows his aggressiveness in attack. Missed a golden opportunity to score late in the 2nd half. Should improve in the coming matches.

16- Asrin Kalam- (6) – another player who impressed after coming in as substitute. Pacey winger on the left.

6- Awangku Hamirulizam -(5)- the ex-PJ Rangers midfielder made a late debut in place of the injured Awg Kamaruddin. The labuan born player shows some combative display to help twart the late onslaught by the Penang attacks.
